Life is not fair. I believe that everything happens for a reason but it doesn’t make it fair. People in Haiti are dying because of Mother Nature mean while we are sitting here learning and living life. I don’t think its fair. I also don’t believe that it’s fair that little children get diagnosed with a disease or a type of cancer and don’t get to live their lives like the rest of us. You know the saying that our parents say when we say something isn’t fair, “life is not fair”. Well I finally understand what they mean by that, because everything we say isn’t fair is a part of life.
I just recently found out that Haiti, one of the poorest countries in the world got struck by a massive earthquake that wiped out the whole country. The schools are gone, the hospitals are gone, everything is gone. They have been finding dead bodies left and right. They have found a few living people under the rough but they have no medical supplies to help them and keep them from dying. I don't think it’s fair that we have so much money in the United States and we don't get hit with earthquakes or anything that wipes out the whole country. They pretty much didn't have anything before the earthquake and now the little that they did have is gone. Now some people might say that that is just Mother Nature, but what they have to think about is Mother Nature is a part of life. The United States has given so much money to help them out. We did concerts food drives everything you can think of. They had special shows on to help raise money for medical supplies. I’m not saying it’s wrong for us to raise so much money but some of the other countries could have contributed more. We gave so much more and did so much more than any other country.
I don’t think it’s fair that some people get better opportunities than others. Some people are rich and some are poor. Some people worked to get rich but some were just handed it to them. it doesn’t seem fair that the people that don’t have to work for anything get the best treatment and the people that are poor and have to work to get better still get the bad end of the stick. Everyone should b equal. There are children in hospitals that can’t do anything even if they tried and they can’t get the treatment they need because they don’t have the money. Now I also feel it’s not fair that the people that do have the money are just sitting there not helping and the people that have barely anything and willing to give it all away to save a life. There are kids all around the word suffering because they are sick or don’t have any money. I don’t believe that is there fault and I don’t think it’s fair that they get to live like that. I knew a girl named Jenna who had Cystic Fiberosic and died at the age of 13. She also had a brother that had it to and died. I don’t think it’s fair that she didn’t get to live out the rest of her life or even live her life as a regular kid. She tried her best to be strong and so did her family. They went through so much and did so much and lost it all. I feel that children that are faced with things like that and still appreciate living are not appreciated enough. I don’t feel it’s fair that even though they had nothing and still appreciated the life they were living there are kids all over the world getting whatever they want in a blink of an eye. I can’t even put it into words how unfair it is that some people that have nothing are the ones who get sick or die in tragedies and the people who have everything don’t even appreciate how lucky they have it. I’m not saying this is all people but it is most.
I will even admit I should appreciate my life more. I shouldn’t complain as much and I should just think of how great I have it and how bad others do. Not just me but everyone should realize this. There are children and adults that get treated badly because they don’t have what other people do. There’s people dying in car accidents everyday and we don’t understand how unfair it is that there life’s don’t get to b as long as our or see things that we do. There is so much more I could say about home life isn’t fair but those are the main reasons I feel it is unfair. Everyone has a different opinion on life and I believe it is completely unfair but I appreciate the life I was given with all my heart and I pray for others who have it bad.
